This episode made it excruciatingly hard to deny the massive amount of accusations about Ohana's slutty-ness, although it was an extremely humourous and entertaining episode at the very least. It's still hard to say which is the better slice-of-life this season, this or AnoHana. Although, AnoHana has only one episode to think about. It is way too early to judge against a 3-episode anime.
I guess this is an obligatory pic, since Nako was the real heroine of this episode. I'm kind of disappointed in her, though. I was expecting some tragic backstory or something to explain her introverted personality. It seemed rather dull to have no real reason other than being scared of Ohana.

I'm kind of disappointed with how Minko is warming up to Ohana so quickly. I commented on this last episode, but it seems she's warming up quite quickly to her. Minko has ample reason to hate Ohana and to change so quickly still feels wrong. This won't be a deal breaker for me at this point, but it will greatly lower my opinion of the anime and Minko.
I guess this is the real separating factor between AnoHana and Hanasaku Iroha. Both are a coming-of-age story but the way they learn are different. Ohana is slowly learning in a closed environment, gently guided by her grandmother to experience new things. AnoHana, on the other hand, is a journey they take within themselves to battle their own inner demons and gradually gain acceptance. The direction they are moving are vastly different but the end result will likely be the same. Both are equally enjoyable for me.

This still an amazing series to follow; it's ranking pretty high as an anime this season. Next episode, we'll finally get to see them go to school and fall to more traditional slice-of-life setting. This series seems pretty straightforward so far, so I doubt they will stray much from this style. It's definitely an enjoyable episode to confirm the mass spam of Ohana-slut threads. I can't believe the trolls were right.
