Hanasaku Iroha 23 - An Unrequited Love

The only character I ever liked in this show...

Wow did this episode start off slow as hell. I think I fell asleep twice in that first half of this episode. It started off extremely boring with very little outlook of it getting better. Thankfully we had a decent scene and an amazing one liner to make things slightly better. Still was an overall extremely boring episode for me.

She clearly way too old for that...

This was just absolutely brutal. Most new "aunts" try to make a good impression with the rest of the family, you know, not tell them they suck. Didn't help that Ohana seemed unphased by the fact that she was totally rude. It was a boring conversation where they decided to switch randomly to scenery and crap to make it less boring... it didn't. It felt like horrid filler time to me.

The only highlight of this episode was watching her own the director. The problem still exists that he can't pay back the money even if he wanted to. I wonder what shit their going to pull out of their ass to somehow get the money to pay off the debt for the inn. I gues the young master will inherit the inn after all. Would've been better if Ohana somehow ended up in that role.

Who wouldn't want to?

This was just brutal watching Ko go full beta throughout this whole episode. It is inevitable that he and Ohana will end up together. They could have at least put that other co-worker back in the picture too. I mean Ohana dumped him so why not rebound on the one lusting after you? Ohana with her crazy idea that her love is unrequited hurts just as much. It isn't unrequited when you both like each other. Beta Ko sure is beta and Ohana being an idiot being one of the main focuses sure hurts my soul.

Like you weren't acting beta enough...

I am counting down, two last episodes remaining before I can stop watching. One more episode to start the final festival as Ohana probably ends up going back to the inn to help. Final episode being the actual festival and Ko moves with her out of the city and they live happily ever after. Living in the city, I would never want to live in remote areas like that. Just the thought of nothing around you and I puke. Two more weeks remaining...
