Hanasaku Iroha 22 - This Is Why I Had No Hope...

I agree, that is a very rare thing for a guy to do... There's no such thing as platonic relationships!

I prayed beyond all reason that they would play up the drama; there's nothing but despair left within me now. With only a few episodes left, it would be meaningless to drop it now. I have trudged through this anime that was clearly not meant for me. Aaro would have probably found this anime awesome, since he thinks everything is awesome. Damn his low standards.

That scar on his eyebrow says it all. He is ruthless!

So, we started with some small pleasantries as they prepared for the marriage. Nothing big happened here as the "big" scene is approaching after such a long build-up. I am slightly confused now, though. Ohana mentions that the young master "beat" her mom, but then how does she exist? Was she a bastard child born out of wedlock? BLASPHEMY! So, that her father died quite some time ago is all we know.

I wonder how hard it is to admit that you have been successfully jailbaited...

GOD DAMMIT, THAT WAS IT!?!? He just admitted that he kinda likes her, and then Minchi becomes resolute that she will fight? It isn't like that was new information... ~sigh-sigh~ What goes on in Minchi's head is a mystery for the ages...or the writers. This hugely blown-up drama fizzled into a crappy two-minute conversation that didn't resolve anything. It hurts soooo much seeing how badly it played out.

I lost all attention in the show after I was let down; it's not like much happened. The only slight highlight was this ten-second scene that should've been the entire episode; I think it would have been more enjoyable. Am I the only one that noticed the wedding reception was still pretty small, despite how much cost-cutting they did? They had nearly no guests; they could have easily afforded something a bit more grandiose.

HA, I KNEW IT! I so called this one in the last episode. Clearly, this was supposed to be the "real" climax of the anime (not the drama), which makes me a sad panda. I would have wanted the drama between the characters to have played a much bigger role. So, I guess from here, either Ohana will end up as the new owner, or the inn will actually close down and she'll go back to the city for her "lover". Oh ya, how forced was that, "OMG, I have a crush on him, too"? That was just brutal to watch.

Sigh, if only she did... If only she did...

So, there is four more episodes remaining now. Maybe 1-2 episodes will be dedicated to the festival coming up, with another 1-2 to wrap everything up. I have nothing left to look forward to in this anime; why must they remove the drama? ~sigh-sigh~ Drama is the spice of life that makes everything a bit more colourful...
